With a U.S. Department of Energy grant, Tessellated is helping to develop lighter motor vehicles in order to reduce emissions, as we  simultaneously investigate thermal conductivity for use in decarbonization efforts.

About us

In partnership with the University of Notre Dame, Tessellated Inc. has produced composite thin films with the highest reported tensile strengths available in a similar products. These films have been produced using a widely available roll-to-roll manufacturing technique that can be adapted to current manufacturing lines, saving critical time and resources. Tessellated’s unique product combined with innovative use of manufacturing technology implicates scaled implementation across a wide variety of applications in civil and military use.

    After retiring from the Air Force, Kevin completed an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and he now leads the team at Tessellated.

  • Joseph Cline

    Chemical Engineer

    A recent graduate of Benedictine College with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and now works as the production engineer of Tessellated's advanced materials.

  • Joey Varga

    Business Development

    A graduate of Wabash College with a Bachelors in Political Science and former member of Wabash’s Center of Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship program. He now works with Tessellated to discover potential commercial markets.

  • Tim Joyce

    Advisor

    Tim Joyce is the director of risk assessment and technology development at the University of Notre Dame's IDEA Center and advises Tessellated on commercialization applications.
